Sloping blocks always present the biggest challenges and this site has an 8.0 metre rise from the road to the back of the block. It’s important to have a good understanding of the site before design begins. so that the home sits comfortably on the site and works with the slope. In addition, our architect needed to envisage the finished floor level of the deck and the views this area would pick up of the Surfers Paradise skyline. Here a four-bedroom family home provides ample space and includes the living area opening to both the front outlook and to the rear of the property and swimming pool. The layout is perfect for capturing breezes through the home and controlling the southerly weather, meaning that the deck can be used for entertaining all year round. The owners have done a spectacular job in detailing the landscaping and installing a fire pit for everyone to enjoy under the stars and by the pool.
